Mallard has just finished producing the pilot episode of "The Flaco Show," a sketch comedy talkshow in the vein of Conan O'Brien and Dave Chappelle, starring the multi-talented Flaco Navaja. ("Def Poetry Jam," "Fighting," "Pride and Glory.") Our first episode (coming soon to TV) features special guest Damon Dash and musical guest Navegante performing a live remix with hip-hop legend Ski Beatz!

All sorts of great things are happening with Navegante and the "Apariencias" video. They're being featured everywhere from the Village Voice to the NY Times, and the Apariencias video will soon begin airing on Mun2 TV. In the meantime, Navegante and Mallard Media are joining forces to create a ground-breaking TV program called "The Flaco Show." While we can't reveal too many details just yet, suffice it to say that the pilot episode features none other than hip-hop mega-mogul Damon Dash, legendary producer Ski Beatz, brand new material from Navegante, and some of the freshest, ballsiest comedy since The Chappelle Show. Stay tuned!

The video Mallard produced and directed for Latin electro-funk pioneers NAVEGANTE's first single "Apariencias" premiered live at their show this past Friday, and the house was packed solid! Check this amazing video out online here.

The EPK Mallard made for NAVEGANTE is now available online, and the music video we made for their first single "Apariencias" will premiere live at CAMARADAS in Spanish Harlem next Friday, May 15th. Mallard Media's extravagant sci-fi/burlesque web series THE FOLD, produced with our friends Polly Frost and Ray Sawhill at Rapture House, has been getting an incredible response since our first episode premiered on Monday. We've already gotten some incredible reviews, from everyone from sci-fi instition io9, to legendary LA Times critic David Chute. THE FOLD features some of NYC's best downtown performers, including the glamorous Julie Atlas Muz, and is our proud attempt to bring the rambunctious aura of midnight movies to the web. In partnership with our friends at Third Strand Productions, Mallard has just finished producing a special segment for the upcoming National Lampoon film Ratko: The Dictator's Son, starring the legendary Adam West and the guy who plays Pedro in Napolean Dynamite . Pretty fun project, we got to play with a really impressive library of old footage, including the oldest stag film still known to be in existence - from 1908! Actually kind of surprising how little the genre has changed in the last hundred years...

Mallard has just finished producing the holy grail of food safety videos, SALMONELLA CAFE, which provides an entertaining and thorough overview of proper food handling in the workplace. Soundtrack available through Columbia Records.

There was a huge gushing write-up in this week's New Yorker about the brilliant composer Nico Muhly, who also happened to supply the sea-swept music for Matt's short film "Lutkoski Fishsticks" a few years back. Nico's work is really gorgeous.

Several Dreamweaver tutorials later, Mallard Media finally goes online. Check back hard and often to see new music videos, films, some sci-fi-erotica (coming soon), and other noble endeavors by Fitz and Matt.
